Maintain your self-assurance despite things that may make you doubt yourself.

To feel assured, it only requires eliminating the things that destroy your confidence. These negative beliefs, known as confidence killers, are prevalent in individuals and can hinder progress in life.

Check if any of these malevolent individuals are present in your mind:

1. The All or Nothing Sniper:

The reason why you are unable to appreciate the little successes in your life is because of this mindset. I believe that in school, you were probably the child who would cry at home after getting just one answer wrong on a test.

When you are unable to achieve perfection in your performance, you assume that you are a total failure. But if you could stop being so critical of yourself, you would feel more assured.

2. The Dark Cloud of Destruction:

Be cautious! Emergencies can arise unexpectedly. Anticipate them. The malevolent aura of devastation can lead one to absurd thoughts such as, "Since I flunked my chemistry test, there's no use even contemplating going to college anymore."

3. Warlord of Negative Magnification:

If you believe this person who undermines your self-assurance, you will never feel confident. He has a distorted belief that anything positive is not truly meaningful, and he blows up minor issues to seem like major problems.

In case you emerge victorious in eight singing competitions but catch a cold and secure the second position in the ninth one, the focus will shift to that one loss rather than acknowledging the significant accomplishments of securing eight trophies.

The 'If I have the sensation, then it is true' monster:

It can be compared to a computer virus that impairs the logical and rational aspects of one's mind. Those suffering from it cannot feel assured until they understand that their emotions do not necessarily correlate with reality. There are times when we do not appear or perform well, and this is normal.

The mindset of "I feel dumb, therefore I am dumb" enables our emotions to control us. It is important to question our feelings and not always accept them as the truth. Have the self-assurance to recognize that our emotions may change tomorrow.

5. The Sinister Should:

Those who strive for perfection are skilled in making statements of what should be done. Such statements revolve around meeting the perceived expectations of others rather than emphasizing personal desires.

Statements that contain the word 'should' can take the form of universal expectations such as 'Everyone should possess an education plan.' These types of statements can trigger negative thoughts in individuals, causing them to feel inadequate and assume that something is inherently wrong with them if they don't have an education plan.

6. Libellus Labeller:

We often use the phrase "throw away the key" to indicate imprisoning someone indefinitely. This type of thought frequently occurs when assigning blame. For instance, people may think "I am a failure; everything is my fault" and assign negative labels to themselves. Instead, it would be helpful to assign positive labels and consider oneself a confident individual.

7. Compliment Constrictor:

This unpleasant feeling you get inside of you always stops you from accepting a compliment. If someone tells you that you look great in a specific dress, don't let that negative voice in your head take over and respond with: "Are you sure?

The positive aspect is that identifying any of these negative influences is equivalent to half of the effort. Therefore, mentally prepare yourself to eliminate these detrimental beliefs and thoughts by adopting a positive and constructive attitude.

Summary:

You can feel assured by eliminating confidence destroyers. These destroyers are thought patterns that lead to self-defeat.
